HSL Utilities Ltd operates several lorry-mounted auger drilling machines to carry out post hole boring and auger drilling work throughout the UK. Equipped with modern auger drilling equipment weighing in excess of 13 tonnes, our post hole boring teams can dig through the toughest of terrain (including concrete and rock).
Measuring two meters in length, our 12” and 18” drills are capable of drilling to a depth of 3 meters when aided by an extendable auger. Though commonly used for the installation of galvanised and wooden telegraph poles for the utility industries, HSL Utilities Ltd has also undertaken auger drilling for the purposes of installing WIFI, CCTV and lighting poles.Click Here To Check Out Our Gallery

At HSL Utilities Ltd, all of our site operatives hold CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) Trained Operator Cards, are IPAF Trained (International Powered Access Federation) and are NRSWA (Street works) accredited.
Risk Assessments and Method Statements are always provided before the commencement of any works.
Recent Post Hole Drilling Contracts Include: -
- Installation of 300 telegraph poles for the purpose of Wind Protection Fencing at an Agricultural Nursery in Lincolnshire.
- Installation of 100 telegraph poles for lighting and perimeter fencing for the Download Music Festival at Castle Donnington in the East Midlands, in addition to 150 Telegraph Poles at the Latitude Festival site in Suffolk.
- Small projects are also welcomed. One wooden telegraph pole was installed for the use of a May Pole at Hay on Wye for the Hay Festival.
